Professional Overthinker, Occasional Writer
I’m Sam Angell… a writer, storyteller, and collector of racing thoughts. I write about identity, disability, mental health, and all the wonderfully complicated bits of being human. Somewhere along the way, I went from being told I was too sick to succeed to building a creative career, publishing my first book, and generally refusing to be particularly sensible about what I dream of doing next.
Built for Belonging
I rose from hospital beds, diagnostic labels, and a system that underestimated me to becoming a branding specialist who builds identities for bold, brilliant misfits like me.
Equal parts memoir and manifesto, Built for Belonging is a blueprint for building a life when the world wasn’t made for you. It’s about disability, healing, identity, and the radical act of making space for yourself.
This is not a story about overcoming.
It’s a story about becoming - one brick, one brand, one act of defiance at a time.
